The assault caused the partial shutdown of the CTA tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking area.

An additional two individuals are now in custody related to a theft at London's Heathrow Airport in which 21 people were injured by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, according to police.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area on suspicion of theft and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. They both are still being held, the force said.

The arrests come after a probe into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the incident, two women had stolen from them their luggage upon exiting a parking garage elevator.

A three-year-old girl was among the injured in the event. Five people went to hospital for medical care and have since been discharged.

Officers detained a 31-year-old man on suspicion of theft and assault close to the scene. He has since been released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.

Authorities were alerted at about 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of a number of individuals injured by an irritating chemical thought to be an irritant spray.

The assault - an event that authorities stated was isolated and not considered an act of terror - caused train delays and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 car park for a short time.
